the sunsets along the eastcoast are nothing but grey just like your silhouette from the porch light with me i never thought my words would make it past what you'd say but my dedicated silence made it hard to believe
but i know just want you want, and i know it's not me because i'm falling apart and if i could say one more thing all it would be is to stay the fuck away from me

you're just an art school kid and i'm just a guy in a band trying to figure it out while you're making plans or painting on the canvas i'll be scratching on the ground with a rock against the pavement saying i know there's a better way to say this, i know there's a better way to face this
you're just falling apart, at least that's what you said because it's become so hard because you're dragging yourself back and forth through the dirt, it's hard to judge yourself when you can't find your worth
you told me all about what your dad had said when he kicked you out, and you started smoking. it looked just like a lesson but it didn't all work out in the end.
i'll miss you, but i'll be alright between all the beach walks after you got off at night.
i'll be on my own that's fine, cause i'll be sleeping on the van floor or staying up on floorboards, i will be alright
